CROWS’ NIGHT –
DIRECTIONS TO AYLTON COURT BARN
If you are using SatNav to find us, the postcode is HR8 2RQ.
SatNav will almost get you here .. right at the end (i.e. a few seconds to go) SatNav will tell you to turn right at the grass triangle; ignore that!
Stay to the left of the triangle and after the sharp bend to the left take the little track/lane in between the Church and house ...
follow it up to the barn - going round to the far side of it!
If you go down to the woods...
The first refugee picnic at Clissett Wood was an brilliant success. The rain was easing off just before two minibuses with 65(!) of our Newport & Cardiff refugees arrived. The kitchen table laden with cakes, cookies and drinks was the first attraction before everybody started exploring workshop and kitchen. Soon there was the most fantastic music making, dough making and baking of pizzas, woodland crowns being decorated with leaves and seeds, pole lathes and shave horses in action, drumming around the fire - six full hours of relaxed activity, laughter and huge enjoyment. Hosted by the Clissett Wood Trust, the purpose of the picnic was to thank all those who have been involved in the collection, sorting, storing and sending of vitally needed aid. Caroline Handley said several people involved in the campaign are themselves refugees who now want to give help to those still locked in war torn countries. A huge thanks to everyone who participated and who continue to help
